Gina knew she had to celebrate her 40th in a big way and what better place than Vegas! Her and her husband, Greg, planned a fabulous weekend celebrating with their friends and family who came from all over the country and we got to capture a bit of the fun!

This Tuesday Jason and I attended Layers of Lovely – An Inspired Floral Art Studio‘s Official Launch and Studio Warming Party.
Catherine is the owner and designer of this gorgeous studio. Catherine was one of the first wedding industry vendors we met here in Vegas and totally connected with her. Not only is she talented, but she’s also a great person. We’ve worked together on a few projects, here, here, here, and here. And, I always just love seeing what she creates! I am so proud of what she’s accomplished so far in such little time and we know there is so much more for her yet to come! She is definitely an inspiration towards following our own dreams.
Be sure to check out her website and blog and see more of her “lovely” works of art! And, if you are looking for a fresh and modern approach to your own floral design, then you definitely have to check her out! Here are a few details from the party.
Rosemary Mojitos…YUM
I just loved the dessert bar, filled with fun and nostalgic treats! Too cute

Catherine: We had a great time at your studio warming party! Thanks for having us!

Jessie
Rachel and Jeremy are two of the most down-to-earth couples ever. We made an instant connection during their engagement session last March and we just loved designing their photo save-the-date cards, too! We were so happy to be shooting their wedding and just stoked when the day finally came! We knew we were in for a great time!
I met Rachel at her home where she was getting ready along with the rest of the bridesmaids. Rachel’s makeup was done by the amazingly talented Mimi from Mixt Cosmetics in Boca Park. Be sure to check out this gem of a boutique if you’re in the area and remember, Mimi comes to you for bridal makeup!
Now, let’s get started with Part I of R+J’s February 12th wedding.
While I was with the ladies at the house, Jason met up with our groom, Jeremy and his groomsmen, who were getting ready at the at The Legacy Golf Club in Henderson.
R+J opted for a “first-look” and we couldn’t have been happier!
After the “first-look” we joined the wedding party for some group shots and a few more images of R+J before the ceremony.
The floral arrangements were provided by Wild Orchid Floral & Event Co.
Be sure to stop by tomorrow for Part II of Rachel & Jeremy’s wedding day!

Jessie
Here’s a sneak peek from a quick mini-session I did up on Mount Charleston over Labor Day! Full blog post from this session will be up soon

To edit this image, I used fellow photographer, Amy Leavitt’s workflow action in photoshop then tweaked the levels a bit. You can download Amy’s action on her BLOG for FREE
